'From the start, Halestorm achieved success with singles I Get Off, It's Not You and Love Bites (So Do I), for which the band took home the Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance. A decade of writing and playing music provided the group, created by siblings Arejay and Lzzy Hale, with the skills they needed to reach the mainstream. The rock band is noted for its lyrics about love and sex that are sung by female vocalist Lzzy as well as a sound that harkens back to '80s metal. Through their continued success, the band has never been afraid to experiment, and this becomes apparent on tour when Arejay plays drums on everyday objects.'

Arejay and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm seemed destined to make music. They'd been playing and writing for more than a decade when they released their first full-length album in 2009. The self-titled album featured five charting singles, and they followed it up with
The Strange Case Of...
, which performed even better. Freak Like Me jumped to the top of
Billboard's
Mainstream Rock chart in the United States, and I Miss the Misery was only one spot behind. In fact, every original Halestorm album has boasted at least one No. 1 single, with their first two albums earning gold certification from the RIAA and their two more recent albums (
Into the Wild Life
and
Vicious
) reaching No. 1 on both US and UK rock charts. In addition to those albums, Halestorm has released three albums where they cover music from
Daft Punk
to
Pat Benatar
to
Pearl Jam
, putting their unique spin on much-loved songs. When not recording, they're busy playing arenas and festivals around the world.

''Whether in an arena or at a festival, Halestorm concerts are always high energy. It's not uncommon for the band to also play an acoustic song, typically their cover of Girl Crush. Arejay Hale has also been known to perform drum solos during the set. He sometimes plays with novelty items such as giant LED drumsticks or uses styrofoam coolers as drums. The experience is quite unique.'
'Concerts vary in length depending on the venue and time slot. Halestorm may play as few as eight songs or over 15 songs, with several played as an encore.'
'The four members of Halestorm include Lzzy (guitar and vocals) and Arejay Hale (drums), after whom the band is named. They are joined by Joe Hottinger on guitar and Josh Smith on bass and keyboards. Previous members include guitarist Leo Nessinger and bassist Roger Hale, father to Lzzy and Arejay.'
