Los Angeles-based producer and DJ Ghastly is a trap and dubstep musician. Ghastly uses a digital audio workstation to produce music with provocative, bass-filled electronic dance music. Ghastly tour ticket holders can expect a pulsating concert filled with soul-shaking, danceable beats sure to have attendees on their feet all night.
Ghastly is an alias for DJ, EDM artist and music producer David Lee Crow. Crow grew up in Buckeye, Arizona on his family's goat and cow farm. As a child, Crow often had his school friends over to entertain them, hosting dance parties at his house and foreshadowing his future career as a DJ and producer.
Later in his adult life, when he went on to pursue his career in music in Los Angeles, Ghastly spent time living in a van, unable to afford rent. He had a short two-month stint of employment at American Apparel, but the company fired him for being homeless. After about two and a half years of living in Los Angeles as a struggling, homeless artist, he eventually moved back to his parents' farm.
Six months later, when Exchange LA hired him to work as a promoter and resident DJ, he began his professional music career. Before he started producing EDM music, he had a short stint in a metal band - an interest of his since his brother introduced him to Metallica as a child.
Ghastly has never released a full studio album, but has put out 11 singles. He released his most popular single, We Might Fall featuring Matthew Koma in 2017. Other 2017 Ghastly singles include Geisha, End of the Night featuring NGHTMRE and The Spiders Symphony. While various record labels released his previous singles, Ghastly self-released three of his four 2017 singles.
In 2016, Ghastly released two singles - 666! featuring Getter and Fuk Watchu Think featuring Jameston Thieves - under record label OWSLA. OWSLA is the record label founded in 2011 by Sonny Skrillex Moore, professionally known as the popular EDM producer Skrillex. OWSLA also represents EDM artists The M Machine, KOAN Sound, Zardonic and Alvin Risk.
In 2015, Ghastly released four singles: Every Night under label Dim Mak; Get On This and Hawt with Brillz under label Mad Decent; and Dogs in the House with Goldplate under label The EDM Network.
In the start of his career in 2014, Ghastly released Kill It With Fire with Sullivan King under record label Buygore. Ghastly has also released remixes of popular EDM songs, including Biggie Bounce by Diplo, Warning by NGHTMRE and SLANDER, and Lights Out by Zomboy.
