GBH tour dates

Commonly known as GBH, Charged GBH is an English street punk band, originally formed in 1978. Being early pioneers within this genre, they were affiliated with such bands as The Exploited, Broken Bones, and Discharge. Since the early 80s, GBH has embarked on numerous English and US tours.

Over the years, their sound has evolved, however, they have continued to stay true to their street punk roots. Touring around the globe for decades, they have shared the stage with artists such as Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age at Riot Fest Chicago as well as the Gaslight Anthem and Horrorpops at The Warped Tour.

GBH's history

With their extensive history over the years, the band has toured with eight members total and played with four musicians at a time. Formed by frontman Colin Abrahall and guitarist Colin Blyth, both who continue to play in GBH, they quickly became part of the 'UK82' community. During this time, the punk scene began to experience a significant cross-pollination between British street punk and American hardcore.

In 1982, GBH released their first LP, titled, City Baby Attacked By Rats-- which peaked at No. 17 in the UK charts. Often leading with controversial lyrics, GBH spoke of violence, morbidity, British and European culture, as well as significant events. Based on its success, the band released their second LP, City Baby's Revenge, the following year.

As they picked up momentum, they began touring extensively, headlining shows with fellow musicians, such as The Toy Dolls and Picture Frame Seduction. Since their first album, they have released more than ten additional studio albums, as well as live and compilation albums.

The band has experienced immense success over the years, with a major following across Britain and Europe, the United States, as well as Japan. Working with over ten record labels since the 80s, they have no plans to slow down anytime soon, as they continue to produce new music and tour around the globe.

GBH's noteworthy performances

Playing at some of the hottest and more historic venues, GBH has played in just about every major US and European city. Making stops in Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, and more than a handful of other countries, their fan base is not only large, but dedicated.

Playing major festivals around the world, including Magma Festival in Japan; Speedfest in the Netherlands; and It's Not Dead Festival in California, their following continues to grow. Although the band experimented with speed metal, they have always performed in true purist punk style, offering crowds short, yet loud tracks -- always with high energy and gratitude.
