'Florida Gators Baseball Tickets'

'The Florida Gators have a lengthy history of success in college baseball, but the last 11 years have been some of the greatest. During those years, Florida has appeared in seven College World Series, eight NCAA Super Regionals and 11 NCAA Regionals. When all-time records are taken into account, the Gators have won only one National Championship in 2017 but have eight Super Regional titles and 14 Regional championships to date. Since 1979, the Florida Gators have posted 40 or more wins a remarkable 26 times with 50 or more wins happening five times since 1991. Florida's dominance on the national level is only paralleled by their SEC supremacy which has seen them win 15 regular-season titles and seven SEC Tournaments. While the football team is often the talk of national media, the Florida Gators have established themselves as a premier program in college baseball as well. 'Who is the head coach for the Florida Gators baseball team?'

'Coach Kevin O'Sullivan became the head coach for the Florida Gators baseball team in 2008 and immediately established a winning culture in Gainesville. In his first season at the helm, O'Sullivan put up 34 wins and took the Gators to their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2005. The next three seasons saw an increase in both wins and postseason success as Florida put up 42 wins in 2009 with a trip to the Super Regionals, 47 wins in 2010 with a College World Series appearance and the 54-win 2011 season, which ended when the Gators lost in the College World Series finals. O'Sullivan finally landed his first College World Series title during the 2017 season. Under coach O'Sullivan, the Gators have made seven trips to the College World Series in the last 10 years, five SEC titles and six SEC East titles. With Kevin O'Sullivan piloting the Gators baseball team, they are a fixture at the top of the NCAA Baseball landscape.'

'What Florida Gators baseball players have gone on to Major League baseball?'

'While the Gators have been putting players into the Big Leagues since 1919, you don't have to look that far back to find a solid list of modern-day baseball stars who have worn the blue and orange. The tradition of former Gators playing in the Major Leagues has only grown stronger under Coach O'Sullivan, who has had 88 players selected in the MLB draft and 19 players make it all the way to Major League baseball. The 2018 World Series champion Gators saw three players taken in the first round of the MLB Draft when infielder Jonathan India went No. 5 overall to the Cincinnati Reds, pitcher Brady Singer was picked 18th by the Kansas City Royals and pitcher Jackson Kowar was the 33rd selection by the Kansas City Royals. That doesn't even include the fact that 2019 NL Rookie of the Year Pete Alonso was selected in the second round of the draft by the New York Mets. Several other players have been taken early in the draft in the last few years, including Richie Martin of the Oakland A's, Harrison Bader of the St. Louis Cardinals and catcher Mike Zunino of the Tampa Bay Rays.'

'Where do the Florida Gators play baseball?'

'Alfred A. McKethan Stadium at Perry Field is the home of the Florida Gators baseball team. Constructed in 1988, the stadium has a seating capacity of 5,500 with 5,100 grandstand seats and 400 bleacher seats that extend down the foul lines. Over the last decade, over one million fans have attended a game at McKethan Stadium, which has earned the Gators the right to host NCAA regional games as well as super-regionals, which are only awarded to high-end stadiums with exceptional attendance marks.'

'Do the Florida Gators have any rivals in baseball?'

'

Any team that has had as much success as the Gators baseball team has experienced is bound to have some heated rivalries. In college sports, most rivalries are rooted in either conference play or geographical proximity, and the Gators have their share of both. As far as conference rivalries go, Florida has history with

South Carolina

after clinching the SEC on the Gamecocks' field. Florida also has conference rivalries with

Vanderbilt

and the

Georgia Bulldogs.

However, Florida's most heated rivalry in every sport is against intrastate rival,

Florida State.
