''The Tulsa Roughnecks FC — now known as simply FC Tulsa — is a member of USL Championship, the second highest tier of American soccer. The name of the team is an homage to the original Roughnecks soccer club, which was a member of the North American Soccer League between 1978 and 1985. Formerly based in Hawaii, the club captured the 1978 NASL Indoor championship and the 1983 Soccer Bowl. Following the dissolution of the NASL, the Roughnecks franchise was briefly brought back between 1993 and 2000 as a member of the USISL Indoor and Pro Leagues. However, with the emergence of the United Soccer League in the 21st century, Tulsa proved to be a natural fit, and the ownership group of the Tulsa Drillers baseball team revived the Roughnecks franchise in 2013. In its inaugural season, Tulsa finished with an 11-11-6 record. The team then earned its first-ever playoff berth in 2017, losing to San Antonio 2-1. If you are a fan of American soccer, then you can purchase FC Tulsa tickets at StubHub.'
