FC Cincinnati’s inaugural 2019 and subsequent 2020 seasons will be played at Nippert Stadium. As the home of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats’ football team, Nippert will only be a temporary home for FC Cincinnati. However, that did not stop fans from supporting the team in their first year. FC Cincinnati games were actually the second most-attended home games in the Eastern Conference, trailing only
Atlanta United FC
and its massive following. The club is then scheduled to play at West End Stadium after its completion in 2021. The stadium is a $250 million project that will be a state-of-the-art facility for both the players and the fans.

Columbus Crew SC has a rivalry with FC Cincinnati that predates the club’s MLS days. In 2015, the previous FC Cincinnati began play in the
USL
, a tier below MLS. The two Ohio-based teams met for the first time in the
US Open Cup
in 2017 with FC Cincinnati upsetting the Crew 1-0. When the MLS club was announced, the rivalry instantly gained even more significance. Now known as the Hell is Real rivalry due to a longstanding billboard between the two cities, this rivalry will surely be some of the hottest FC Cincinnati tickets for years to come.
''Some of FC Cincinnati’s most exciting players in 2019 were Allan Cruz, Emmanuel Ledesma, Kekuta Manneh and Darren Mattocks, who all scored multiple goals for the club. Prior to the 2020 season, Gerard Nijkamp took over as general manager. Several new players were then brought in, including Saad Abdul-Salaam, Zico Bailey and Yuya Kubo. Most notably, Nijkamp was able to sign Dutch attacker Jurgen Locadia as a Designated Player. The 26-year-old was previously one of Europe’s top prospects and has experience in several top leagues.'
'Gerard Nijkamp hired a new head coach quickly into his tenure as general manager, once again hiring another Dutchman in Ron Jans. Jans has experience previously coaching eight clubs in Europe, and FC Cincinnati will be his first position in MLS. Jans took over in August 2019, coaching the remaining 10 games in the year before his first full season in 2020.'
