Eric Roberson is a singer and songwriter from Rahway, New Jersey. Influenced by soul, hip hop, jazz, rock, rhythm and blues and more, Roberson collaborates with well-known recording artists, including Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Musiq Soulchild and Jill Scott, among others. An independent artist with his own recording label, Roberson is fiercely determined to make his music, his way.

Eric Roberson began his performance career singing in church and acting in high school productions. He then attended Howard University on scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Musical Theater. A young Roberson released his first single through Warner Bros. Records in 1994. He continues to compose, record and perform over the years and has been recognized by the R&B/hip-hop industry for his outstanding work.

Roberson has his own recording label called Blue Erro Soul and continues to impress music lovers with his unique, independent style. His popularity draws fans in droves wherever he performs. A unique ability of Roberson is his freestyle performance, wherein the crowd yells words or phrases at him and he uses them to create a song on the spot. His dynamic presentations delight his audience and help keep Roberson moving forward in his quest to conquer the boundaries of music genres.

His album “Music Fan” debuted in the Top 10 of the R&B charts in 2009.  He went on to receive two Grammy Award nominations for his songs “A Tale of Two” and “Still.” As Roberson continues to write and perform music, he wants to push the boundaries of what it means to be an independent artist.

Roberson was nominated for two Grammy Awards in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance Category in 2010. As the first independent artist ever to get a BET Award nomination, Roberson was awarded the Underground Artist of the Year BET Virtual Award the following year.
