The Drive for the Cure 250 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race. It has been conducted each autumn at the Charlotte Motor Speedway since 1982. In 2018 the Drive for the Cure 250 event moved from the tri-oval speedway track to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course. The Drive for the Cure 250 enjoys a long tradition at Charlotte Motor Speedway. NASCAR Hall of Fame member Darrell Waltrip won the first fall Xfinity race at Charlotte in 1982 driving a Pontiac. The race was known then as the Miller High Life 300. Since then, a galaxy of past and present NASCAR stars has stepped up to the winner's podium after the race for the Cure 250. Who won the 2019 Drive for the Cure 250?

AJ Allmendinger took the lead from Christopher Bell on Lap 48 of the Drive for the Cure 250 race's 67 laps. He led the final 20 laps and stormed to a 2.386-second margin of victory. Tyler Reddick, Austin Cindric, Justin Allgaier and Noah Gragson rounded out the top five finishers. After leading 19 laps, Bell faded to a 12th place finish. Chase Briscoe sat on the pole with a lap of 100.346 mph on the 2.280-mile course. The race saw seven cautions and 14 laps run under the yellow flag. There were seven lead changes among six drivers. In addition to the lead changes, the competition was fierce throughout the field. NASCAR's on-track scoring monitors detected 1,129 green flag passes. For each lap contested under green, 21.3 positions changed on the track.
