'2020 will be Gregorio Petit's first season as the manager for the Corpus Christi Hooks. He will be the eighth manager in the 16-year history of the Hooks. This is Petit's first job as a coach at any level. Petit retired as a player after the 2018 season following a 15-year career. While most of Coach Petit's career was spent in the minor leagues, he did play 197 career major league games, posting a career batting average of .249. Petit first spent time with the Houston Astros in 2014 when he split time between their MLB roster and Triple-A affiliate. He was a Triple-A All-Star that season. Petit replaces Omar Lopez, with whom the Hooks had a 66-73 record in 2019.'
