This singer-songwriter began his musical journey at the age of 16 with his father's guitar. He is candid enough to tell that he actually started out as a lead singer in a thrash metal band called Silas, which was then redubbed as Unchecked Aggression. On top of that, he also played as the group's lead guitarist. The heavy metal group, unfortunately, disbanded in 2005, and Cody found himself taking a one-year hiatus from music.
