Chris Knight grew up in Slaughters, Kentucky, a small mining town that helped him define his creative vision, as his body of work is filled with songs about blue-collar problems and dreams. When he was three years old, Knight asked for a guitar for Christmas. What he received was a small plastic guitar that had him immediately hooked. Soon, Knight was teaching him all kinds of country music songs, and by the time he was in his teens, Knight had already become a highly skilled guitarist. Although his love of music was always deeply embedded in his heart, Knight went on to pursue other careers before a music career. After graduating from Western Kentucky University with a degree in agriculture, he spent a decade working as a miner's consultant and a mine reclamation inspector. By the time he was 26, though, he realized that he still loved music more than almost anything, so he started working on his songwriting skills. A few years later, he took his skills to the stage for the first time and started performing local gigs.

Eventually, Chris Knight decided to dedicate himself to pursuing his passion for music. Armed with his guitar and his growing body of songs, Knight moved to Nashville, where he soon earned a spot at Bluebird Café's songwriters' night. Not long after, Knight's growing reputation attracted the attention of Frank Liddell, a music producer who decided to sign Knight to Bluewater Music. By the late '90s, Knight had finally gotten his foot in the door of the music world, and he was only just beginning. Over a decade later, Chris Knight is considered one of the most talented and beloved country stars on the scene, and you have the chance to see him perform in concert, and you certainly don't want to miss it!
