About The Band

Formed in 2001 Michigan, the members of Chiodos came together to form the band while they were still in high school, getting their start playing at a free venue in Downtown Flint, Michigan. After churning out a few EP's under the name The Brothers Chiodos, the group eventually changed their name to simply Chiodos and subsequently went all out in releasing their debut album in 2005, All's Well That Ends Well, making waves on the scene as it debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart. The group expanded their audience as they dominated tour after tour, growing in popularity as the hit massive events like the Warped Tour and playing alongside bands like Coheed and Cambria and Linkin Park while releasing their sophomore effort, Bone Palace Ballet. They followed this up in 2010 with the album Illuminaudio which was a huge success, touting growth with a new vocalist as well as a plethora of singles that showcase the band's continuing skill. They continue to release new music and tour for their fans all across the world.

Breakthrough Album

It took years of practice, but by the time that Chiodos decided to release their debut studio album they had already released three EP's. With the EP's playing as a way to hone the band member's skills, they finally decided they were ready to enter the real world of music with their debut album, All's Well That Ends Well in 2005. The album was a huge success and debuted incredibly well, finding audiences all over that hadn't before heard of this amazing post-hardcore band. This grew their reach substantially, as newcomers from all over found a love for this unique style of music.

Chiodos Trivia

If you're somewhat of a movie buff, then maybe the name Chiodos has been ringing bells but you can't quite put your finger on it. Interested in movies themselves, the members of Chiodos decided to name their band after something interesting while having a name that stands out at the same time. Fascinated with the movie Killer Klowns From Outer Space, the band initially decided to name themselves The Chiodos Brothers in tribute to the actual Chiodos Brothers Stephen, Charles, and Edward, the filmmakers of that movie. Eventually they decided to shorten their name to simply Chiodos, a smart move that keeps their band name short, concise, and sounding pretty cool all at the same time. There are likely a wealth of people who were all wondering what and why their name could possibly mean, but in the end it all boils down to a movie about clowns from outer space.

Fan Experience

If you're lucky enough to find yourself in the audience at a Chiodos show, you should thank your lucky stars if you find time between all of the dancing that you'll inevitably be doing. Even if you give your brain specific orders to not dance, this order will eventually be overwritten once the members of Chiodos take to the stage. Jamming out hit after hit as the night goes on, Chiodos knows exactly how to put on the show and they proceed to do just that. So if you were looking for a great night filled with all of your favorite Chiodos hits, then you need to grab your tickets from StubHub while they're still available!
