The Chicago Wolves team — which currently serves as a minor league affiliate of the

Vegas Golden Knights

from the NHL — can trace its roots back to 1994, when the International Hockey League granted franchise rights to Don Levin, Buddy Meyers and former Blackhawks player Grant Mulvey. With John Anderson as head coach, the team got off to a hot start by winning the Turner Cup championship in 1998 and 2000. After transitioning to the American Hockey League in the 2001 to 2002 season, the Wolves immediately won the Calder Cup with a 4-3 win over Bridgeport in five games. In 2008, the Wolves won its second AHL championship with a 5-2 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in another five-game series. Left-winger Steve Maltais is the all-time leading scorer with 454 goals and 497 assists in 839 appearances between 1994 and 2005. If you want to experience the excitement of minor league hockey, then you should check out the Chicago Wolves schedule. You can get your Chicago Worlves tickets at StubHub.
