''The Chicago Sky plays basketball in the Eastern Division of the Women's National Basketball Association. The team first began to play in 2006 and is one of the few teams in the WNBA that is not directly affiliated with a men's team. The team struggled in its first season with a group of players that were acquired from the rosters of other teams through an expansion draft and others who were drafted from college with no experience. The Sky got their first taste of the WNBA Playoffs in 2013 when they earned the right to face the Indiana Fever in the semifinals of the Eastern Conference. The Sky lost the series against the Fever 2-0. A year later, the Sky lost in the WNBA finals to the Phoenix Mercury. The Sky extended their run to four consecutive playoff appearances in 2015 and 2016. The team needed the next couple of seasons to retool their roster but returned for a playoff run in 2019. If you'd like to see them play, you can purchase Chicago Sky tickets at StubHub.'

''The 2020 regular season for the Chicago Sky begins on May 15 with a Friday home game against the Minnesota Lynx. The four-month regular season for the Sky ends September 20 with a home game against the Atlanta Dream.'
'Diamond DeShields was the leading scorer for the Chicago Sky in 2019. DeShields was the third pick in the 2018 WNBA draft and was a solid contributor to the Sky in her rookie year. DeShields was asked to become the go-to scorer for her team in 2019 and responded with 16.2 points per game. DeShields also pulled down more than five rebounds per contest. Courtney Vandersloot has found a way to improve her game a little each year since joining the WNBA in 2011. Vandersloot set the single-season assist record for the league in 2018. She reset the record in 2019 with 300 assists on the season. The 9.1 assists per game averaged by Vandersloot is also a record. Vandersloot played in the 2019 All-Star Game for the second time in her career.'
'The 2019 season was the first with the team for Chicago Sky head coach James Wade. Wade also became the first coach of the Sky to win league Coach of the Year honors after leading the team to playoffs for the first time in four seasons.'
'Sylvia Fowles is perhaps the most well-decorated player to wear a Chicago Sky uniform. Fowles was the Most Valuable Player for the WNBA in 2017. She has been named to the All-WNBA First Team on three occasions. She was also a second-team All-WNBA selection three times. Fowles was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the WNBA three times and named to the All-WNBA defensive team seven times. Elena Delle Donne won the Rookie of the Month award four times in 2013. Not so surprisingly, Donne was also named the Rookie of the Year for the 2013 season. The second overall pick in the 2013 WNBA draft was a second-team All-WNBA selection in 2014 and a first-team selection in 2015. Elena Delle Donne was honored with the WNBA MVP Award in 2015. Allie Quigley won back-to-back Sixth Woman of the Year Awards in 2014 and 2015.'
