Over the past two years, the UCF Knights football program has made a major splash on the national scene. In 2017, the Knights went undefeated, including a win over a top SEC opponent, Auburn University, and declared themselves the national champions for that year. While the voters and computers disagreed, there was no arguing that UCF proved on the field that they at least belonged in the conversation. After doing an incredible job for two years as the Knights coach, the Knights head coach, Scott Frost, left for Nebraska. Josh Heupel took over as coach in 2018 and led the Knights to another undefeated regular season that ended in an 8-point loss to LSU, albeit without their starting quarterback, who was out with an injury. UCF has one of the most exciting offenses in the nation, and they will again be a force to be reckoned with in 2019. Grab the best seats to UCF Knights Football games at StubHub.

UCF had their second straight, undefeated regular season ending with an American Athletic Conference championship. They were invited to a BCS bowl game but lost by 8 points to SEC second runner-up LSU. It was a hard-fought game, but in the past two seasons, UCF has an almost unbelievable record of 26–1.
As UCF continues to make its mark on the national stage, the football game-day experience continues to get better and better. The Knights almost always play one or two good non-conference games and even had ESPN's college game day show up on campus in 2018. You can feel the excitement, and Spectrum Stadium is almost always at capacity.
UCF's current coach is former Heisman Trophy winner Josh Heupel, who took over from former Heisman Trophy winner Scott Frost. After George O'Leary left Georgia Tech for UCF and made the Knights a powerhouse, the coaching at the school has been top notch. Josh Heupel is entering into his second season, and he has all of the makings of another potential undefeated regular season.
Spectrum Stadium is right in the middle of Orlando and holds more than 44,000 people at capacity. As UCF continues to improve, the stadium continues to be filled at almost every home game. Plan to get to the stadium early because you do not want to miss any of the excitement. This year, the Knights will play Stanford, East Carolina, Houston and South Florida at home, and each of these games would be great to see in person.
Outside of their conference slate in 2019, UCF will play Stanford and Pittsburgh from the ACC and Pac 12 conferences. These games will show if UCF truly belongs on the national scene and in the championship hunt.
