What is the seating arrangement?

The auditorium has five levels of seating. In total, there are 2,804 seats, with the bulk of the seating being in the lower Parquet level. Here, rows start at A and end at CC. The First Tier and Second Tier boxes have 264 and 238 seats, respectively. The Dress Circle level has 444 seats, and the Balcony is quite large, with 837 seats.

Is there accessible seating?

Accessible seating can be found on several levels. The front and back of the Parquet have spots for people in wheelchairs and their companions, as do the Second Tier and Dress Circle level. The double doors near Seventh Avenue, on 57th Street, are accessible, and the auditorium has two elevators. How early can I arrive?

Doors to Carnegie Hall open one hour prior to the start time, and doors to Stern Auditorium open up half an hour before the performance is scheduled to begin.

Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium events are easily accessed by taking public transportation. Several buses, to include the M5, M7 and M10, stop near the theater. For those taking the subway, there are many possibilities. The A/C/E, B/D/F, 1, and N/Q/R/W lines all stop in the vicinity of the auditorium.
