Carilion Court at Cassell Coliseum
Carilion Court at Cassell Coliseum is home to Virginia Tech's basketball team, the Hokies, located on the campus at 675 Washington St. SW in Blacksburg, Virginia. This arena opened in 1962 as "The Coliseum" and was renamed Cassell Coliseum in 1977 for Stuart K. Cassell, a VT administrator and major supporter of the project. President George W. Bush attended the memorial convocation at Carilion Court at Cassell Coliseum in April 2007, for the 32 people who died in the mass shooting that took place on campus that spring.
