Capital City Go-Go Tickets

The Capital City Go-Go is the official Minor League franchise of the Washington Wizards. The roster consists of a mixture of NBA free agents who can sign anywhere and players under direct contract with the Wizards. The Wizards players can be sent down or recalled by the team, depending on the nature of their contract. The G League helps them develop their talent and gain extra experience against professional players. The Capital City Go-Go joined the league for the 2018 to 2019 season. With the growth of the developmental system, every NBA team that did not already have a G League franchise sought to purchase a preexisting team or create a new one. The Washington Wizards announced in 2017 that it was founding the Go-Go franchise. The name of the team was chosen to evoke the vibrancy of the Go-Go music scene that originated from Washington, DC, in the 1960s and 1970s.
