Originally, the game was referred to as the Sunshine Classic for a short time before Blockbuster Entertainment took over sponsorship. Other sponsors over the years include Russell Athletics, Mazda, Carquest, MicronPC and Champs Sports. How big is the Camping World Stadium?

The stadium opened its door in 1936 as the Orlando Stadium and had a seating capacity of 8,900. Over the years it was called the Tangerine Bowl, the Florida Citrus Bowl and the Orlando Citrus Bowl. In 1974, a project to expand the seating with an upper deck in the stadium began. When the first game was played in the newly enhanced stadium, those seated in the new upper deck noticed shaking and swaying when people stood to cheer.
