Camping World Bowl Tickets

The Camping World Bowl was founded in 1990 by Raycom Media as an additional bowl game for the Miami area alongside the Orange Bowl. Originally, the game was referred to as the Sunshine Classic for a short time before Blockbuster Entertainment took over sponsorship. Other sponsors over the years include Russell Athletics, Mazda, Carquest, MicronPC and Champs Sports. As such, some prior names of the game include the Blockbuster Bowl, the Visit Florida Tangerine Bowl, the Mazda Tangerine Bowl and the Russell Athletics Bowl. In 2000, the game was moved to the

Camping World Stadium

in Orlando after being taken over by Florida Citrus Sports. The

NC State Wolfpack

,

Miami Hurricanes

and

West Virginia Mountaineers

share the top spot for most appearances with 5 each. Some of the games' MVPs over the years include Amp Lee (RB) of

Florida State

, Kurt Kittner (QB) of

Illinois

, Jamie Silva (FS) of

Boston College

and Brad Kaaya of Miami. Get your Camping World Bowl game tickets at StubHub.

How big is the Camping World Stadium?

The stadium opened its door in 1936 as the Orlando Stadium and had a seating capacity of 8,900. Over the years it was called the Tangerine Bowl, the Florida Citrus Bowl and the Orlando Citrus Bowl. In 1974, a project to expand the seating with an upper deck in the stadium began. When the first game was played in the newly enhanced stadium, those seated in the new upper deck noticed shaking and swaying when people stood to cheer. Repairs were finally completed in 1989, and the seating capacity was set at 65,194. The now Camping World Stadium is not only home to the Camping World Bowl but also to the
