Cameron Indoor Stadium Tickets
Cameron Indoor Stadium is the main indoor sports venue at Duke University in Durham, NC. It's where the Duke
men's and
women's basketball teams and the
women's volleyball team play their home games. It opened in 1940 with the original name of Duke Indoor Stadium. In 1972, it was re-named after Eddie Cameron, who held positions as the university's athletic director, football coach and basketball coach. Cameron was the one who first drew up plans for the arena, which was the largest gym in the South in its early years. The atmosphere inside the stadium can be raucous, thanks to the enthusiastic fans known as the Cameron Crazies. Students have been known to camp out before games to access the standing-room student section. In tribute to long-time coach Mike Krzyzewski, the hardwood floor was named Coach K Court.
