Buffalo events

Buffalo, New York State's second-biggest city, sits on the shores of Lake Erie, a stone's throw from Niagara Falls. It's known for its concentration of Art Deco buildings, diverse food culture (especially those world-famous Buffalo wings) and culturally rich downtown, which is the entertainment hub of the city. Visitors and Buffalo locals enjoy a wide variety of live entertainment options ranging from ballet to ball games, along with a packed calendar of annual events.

Buffalo tickets

Fans of live theater always have plenty of plays on Buffalo stages to consider, as the Buffalo Theater District is home to more than 20 professional theatrical companies. Other performing arts institutions in the city include the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, which has regular performances at Kleinhans Music Hall.

One of Buffalo's top annual events is the summer Allentown Art Festival, which takes place in the lively, arts hub Allentown district. The festival has been held every year since 1958. Others include the National Buffalo Wing Festival, the Buffalo International Film Festival, the Buffalo Wine Festival, Buffalo River Fest Park Festival and the Herd Music Festival, which showcases indie music.

Buffalo hosts two major league sports teams: the NFL's Buffalo Bills, who play at the New Era Field, and the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, who take to the ice at the KeyBank Center.

Buffalo venues

The largest theater in Buffalo is Shea's Performing Arts Center, which presents Broadway shows and concerts by big-name artists. It's notable for its history, dating back to 1926, its custom Mighty Wurlitzer organ and lavish interiors by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
