''The Mississauga Steelheads is one of the best-ranked junior hockey teams in the Eastern Conference leg of the Ontario Hockey League and has consistently remained so. Throughout its franchise history, the team has taken on a number of different names; it was known as the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors from 1997 to 2007, the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors from 2007 to 2012 and the Mississauga Steelheads from 2012 until the present day. Many former players have graduated from the team and gone on to have successful careers in the NHL, AHL and other pro hockey leagues, including Alexander Nylander, Michael McLeod, Stuart Percy and Owen Tippett. Additionally, the Steelheads have also taken many talented players from minor midget hockey teams like the Mississauga Reps and the Toronto Red Wings, which feature players under the age of 18. Some prominent players from these include Nathan Naves and Quinn McClelland. Get your Mississauga Steelheads tickets at StubHub.'
'Team goalies include Kai Edmonds and Joe Ranger. Defensemen Ethan Del Mastro, Chas Sharpe, Ole Bjorgvik-Holm and Thomas Harley contribute to defense. Forwards are Michael Stubbs, Rylan Bowers, Luca DelBelBelluz, Richard Whittaker and Max Dodig. Del Mastro, Sharpe, Bjorgvik-Holm, Stibbs, Bowers, DelBelBelluz and Dodig are all in their rookie years of professional play.'
'Starting in the year in which the Steelheads took on its team name, the team has been locked in a heated rivalry with the North Bay Battalion, its fellow Ontario Hockey League members.'
'For the typical junior ice hockey season running from late September of one calendar year to March of the following year, the Mississauga Steelheads can be scheduled to play anywhere from two to four games per week. Some upcoming games include an away game against the Hamilton Bulldogs on March 14, a home game against the Owen Sound Attack on March 17 and an away game against the Niagara IceDogs on March 19. The final two games of the regular season for the Mississauga Steelheads will take place on March 20 and 22, 2020. They will be two home games — first against the Barrie Colts and then against the Ottawa 67s.'
