Birmingham Bulls Tickets
The Birmingham Bulls is a professional hockey team from the minor league SPHL — the only league that plays exclusively in the American South. Many of the players in the SPHL advance to play at higher levels of hockey. Founded in 2017, the team is named after the original Bulls, which played in the World Hockey Association and Central Hockey League between 1976 and 1981. Despite the team’s failure (it never had a winning season), Birmingham was the home of future Hall of Famer Frank Mahovlich (who won six Stanley Cups with Toronto and Montreal) and hockey great Paul Henderson. A revived Bulls franchise briefly played in the East Coast Hockey League between 1992 and 2001 before it relocated to Atlantic City and eventually became the Adirondack Thunder. The third attempt at a hockey franchise in Birmingham was more successful. In only its second-ever season, the Bulls advanced all the way to the championship series and finished as runner-up. Birmingham Bulls tickets are available for fans to purchase at StubHub, a leading source for live events.
What was the record of the Birmingham Bulls in 2019?
For the first season in its current incarnation, Birmingham finished just behind Peoria for second in the league standings with 80 points and a 39-15-2 record. As the second seed in the playoffs, Birmingham defeated eighth-seed Fayetteville and fifth-seed Roanoke in three games each to reach the championship series against third-seed Huntsville. The team got off to a tough start with a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime loss. In the second game, Huntsville clinched its third championship in franchise history with a 4-2 win. Despite the disappointing finish, three Bulls received league-wide recognition for their incredible play. Mavric Parks received Goaltender of the Year, Josh Harris was the league MVP and Jamey Hicks was the Coach of the Year.

What is a home game like?
A Birmingham Bulls game at the civic center has a raucous, fan-friendly atmosphere with giveaways, contests and organized chants. Located just to the south of Birmingham, the
Pelham Civic Complex is a multi-purpose arena that holds approximately 3,500 spectators. The bleacher seats occupy the length of the rink on both sides of the rice, and the end zone seating is at only one end. There are a relatively limited number of rows, so every seat is close to the rink.
