Big Daddy Weave was formed in 2002 by Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk and Brian Beihl. The group is based out of Mobile, Alabama and the members of the group met while they were attending college at the University of Mobile. The group began playing local shows around Alabama and started to develop a growing fan base. In 2006 the group embarked on a tour Mark Schultz who is a prominent Christian singer.
