Bell Centre Tickets

The Bell Centre, or Centre Bell as it's called in French, is the home of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. With a seating capacity of 21,302 for hockey games, it's one of the largest venues in which NHL games are held. It opened in 1996 after three years of construction, first being called Molson Centre before Bell Canada acquired naming rights. Where is Bell Centre located?

It's centrally located near the intersection of Avenue Des Canadiens-de-Montreal and De La Montagne Street. Because it's connected to the Lucien L'Allier commuter rail terminal, taking public transportation is quite convenient for those located outside the downtown district. Since it's also connected to the underground city, guests can easily walk to it from the Bonaventure Metro and Central Stations, even when the weather is less than ideal.

Can I park on-site?

There is an on-site parking lot available during most Bell Centre events. A flat fee is charged for parking, and debit or credit cards (with the exception of American Express cards) are accepted. If you can't get a spot at the Bell Centre, there are numerous parking garages and surface lots in the downtown district.

What is the seating arrangement?

Depending on the event, there may be Bell Centre floor seats available. During many of the concerts, the floor is opened up so that people have the chance to get up close to the performers. The Bell Centre seats in the grandstand are sloped steeply with the intention of opening up sight lines. The lower section is painted red, giving this area the nickname of The Reds. The middle section is the club area, known as Club Desjardins. The upper level is divided into three sections: grey, blue and white.

Can I bring a bag with me?

You can bring certain types of bags into Bell Centre with you. Soft-sided bags under 35cm x 35cm x 15.25cm are allowed. Note that backpacks and duffle bags are not permitted, nor are outside food and drinks.

Are there restaurants at the Bell Centre?

There are six different Bell Centre restaurants. La Cage Brasserie Sportive is a lively sports bar that's known for its chicken wings. 1909 Taverne Modern has a giant-screen TV and whips up international dishes. On game nights, Restaurant La Miss au Jeu is open exclusively to season ticket holders of the Club Desjardins. Restaurant 9-4-10 is also open to members of the Club Desjardins during game nights, but it's open to all ticket holders during concerts. Mythik serves up tapas and cocktails, making it a nice pre-event meeting place. Finally, M2 Marche-Montreal offers a casual experience with many different fast-casual counters and a full bar.
