'Bandimere Speedway Tickets'

'

Known to the National Hot Rod Association as Thunder Mountain, the Bandimere Speedway is a quarter-mile dragstrip that hosts

Mopar Mile-High Nationals

. Opened in 1958 by the Bandimere Family, the Bandimere Speedway is a tribute to the long-time racing dreams and auto business of John Banidmere Sr. Renovations began in 1988 when $4 million was dropped on new buildings, better pit areas, improved visibility and an expanded spectator area. Located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the Bandimere Speedway is 5,000 feet above sea level. The altitude brings new challenges to the speed of cars on the strip because of less downforce.
