Atlantic City is home to the Miss America Pageant. Each year, thousands of pageant participants, supporters and onlookers flock to the city to witness the crowning of the new year's latest Miss America. Hosted at the Boardwalk Hall Arena -- previously named the Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall -- this venue is one of the most renowned in the city. Other Atlantic City events, including music concerts, champion boxing matches and comedy shows, take place at this venue, among other popular locations. The Borgata Events Center, the Tropicana Showroom and Harrah's Casino each regularly host ongoing musical performances and shows featuring famous stand-up comedians. Atlantic City tickets also grant admission to events or festivals hosted directly on the beach.
