The Atlanta Gladiators are a professional minor league hockey team operating out of Duluth, Ga. During the earliest years of the organization, the Gladiators reached the ECHL Eastern Conference Semifinals in every one of its first three seasons. The squad has gone on to become the longest-tenured professional hockey team in the Atlanta area's history. In 2015, the Gwinnett Gladiators became the Atlanta Gladiators. The change was to expand the reach of the Gladiators to bring in the entire Atlanta metropolitan area beyond Greater Gwinnett Country. The team introduced a new design for its logo to reflect this change. The team has seen an uptick in attendance in recent years, further signaling this new era for the organization. The Gladiators have been in the playoffs multiple times, have won several division titles and even have a conference championship during the team's history. Jeff Pyle is the head coach and director of hockey operations for the Atlanta Gladiators. This is his second tenure with the team. While originally with the team, Pyle coached the Gladiators to the playoffs in six out of eight seasons. His best season with the team during his first stint was the 2005-2006 season, when the squad had a franchise-best 107 points with a record of 50-15-7. Rounding out the current coaching staff are Patrick Houlihan, assistant director of hockey operations, assistant equipment manager Joe Abell and athletic trainer Shawn Fliszar.

At Atlanta Gladiators home games, you will find lots of promotional nights for hockey fans. Some promotional events of the past have been a Teddy Bear Toss, an Education Day and a Fan Appreciation Night.

Infinite Energy Arena
is a venue that has a capacity of up to 13,000 patrons as well as a wide variety of concessions throughout. It is also centrally located to many restaurants, hotels and shopping. Premium seating options are available with 30 corporate suites, two party suites and several club-level seats. The arena also features wider seats and a high-end sound system aimed at providing a great experience for every seat.
The ECHL is considered the premier AA hockey league in North America. The league comprises 26 teams, with 24 teams located in the United States and two teams located in Canada. Over 500 players have advanced from the ECHL to the National Hockey League.
