For instance, Gabriel Iglesias, the Latino comedian, split his shorts when he was performing his stand-up routine at the Arena Theatre. He later auctioned those famous shorts off.

The Arena Theatre was also where boxer Baby Joe Mesi knocked down Martin Lopez in 1998. Mesi claims one of the longest active reigning champion boxing records in the heavyweight-class boxing world.
