'Best known as the lead vocalist of Black Veil Brides, Andy Black is one of the biggest names in goth-punk, having performed his '80s-inspired synth to devoted fans around the world. Both as a headliner and as a supporting act, Black has toured far and wide. After launching his solo career with 2014's The Shadow Side, he embarked on his first run of solo shows, The Homecoming Tour: Curtain Call, which wound through North America and the U.K., and featured support from Colours and Creeper.'

Born Andrew Dennis Biersack in Cincinnati, Ohio, Andy Black grew up singing and playing the piano. He attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts, where he majored in drama and vocals before dropping out to pursue a career as a professional musician.
In 2009, he formed Black Veil Brides and signed with Standby Records. After releasing a music video for their debut song, Knives and Pens, the band embarked on their first headlining U.S. tour. Their first studio effort, We Stitch These Wounds, was released in 2010 and peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Independent Albums chart and No. 36 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200.
After releasing several other hit albums with Black Veil Brides, Black announced he had been working on a solo project with veteran producer John Feldmann. In 2014, he released his first song, They Don't Need to Understand, online.
A second track, We Don't Have to Dance, was released as the lead single from his debut solo LP, The Shadow Side, in 2016. The album featured several well-known artists, including Ashton Irwin (5 Seconds of Summer), Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), Joel Madden (Good Charlotte) and Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance), and charted at No. 23 on Australia's ARIA chart.
