Team: Air Force Falcons
University: United States Air Force Academy
Head Coach: Frank Serratore
Assistant Coaching Staff: Andy Berg, Joe Doyle (Associate Head Coaches)
NCAA Division: Division I
''The Air Force Falcons are members of the NCAA’s elite Division I. They are also part of the Atlantic Hockey Association Conference. Despite Atlantic Hockey’s formal focus on northeastern collegiate hockey teams and the fact that the Air Force Academy is in Colorado, the Air Force Falcons have been included in the Atlantic Hockey Conference to allow them to compete in regional tournaments against the Army’s Black Knights. Even though the Atlantic Hockey Conference was only founded in 2003, the Air Force Falcons have already won the Atlantic Hockey Tournament seven times — more times than any other team in the conference. Heading into the 2020 Atlantic Hockey Tournament and into the future more generally, the Falcons are poised to carry on that record of dominance. 'The Air Force Falcons can boast a number of talented players on their roster. Some of these include goaltenders Erik Anderson and Zach LaRoque; defenders Andrew Kruse, Brandon Koch, Jake Levin and Luke Rowe; and forwards Bennett Norlin, Max Harper, Willie Reim, Erich Jaeger and Pierce Pluemer. Not every player on the roster always plays at every game, but each game affords an opportunity to see any of these players on the rink.'
'On Feb. 28 and 29, 2020, the Air Force Falcons will play two away games against the Rochester Tigers. After that, starting on March 6, 2020, the Air Force Falcons will enter the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. The tournament’s first round will involve the Falcons in three games on March 6, 7 and 8, 2020. Then, if they’ve done well, they will get to play in the quarterfinals on March 14 or 15, 2020. The semifinals will take place on March 20, 2020, and the finals will happen on March 21.'
'Typically, the collegiate hockey season begins in early October and proceeds into the end of March of the following year. In March, the relevant regional tournament for each NCAA Division I hockey team begins. For the Falcons, that’s the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. From October through February, however, the Flacons play various combinations of home and away games against teams that are both inside and outside of their regional conference. Often, they will play two back-to-back games on successive days against the same team. These may both be away games, both home games, or they may consist of one home game and one away game. Every week or so from October to February, the Falcons play against a different team.'

The Air Force Falcons play all their home games at the
USAFA Cadet Ice Arena
, the Air Force Academy’s special hockey rink. The 2,470-seat arena debuted during the 1968-1969 season and continues to serve the team well. The Falcons play away games at all kinds of arenas all over the country, depending on the team they're playing against. For instance,
Tate Rink
is the home of the Falcons’ great rivals, the Army Black Knights from West Point Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.
