''There were 72 total games scheduled. The season began as the Thunder visited the Maine Mariners. There were 14 exciting home games played on a Saturday and 12 that took place on a Friday. Holiday and Sunday games were part of the schedule. The Thunder schedules an annual New Year's Eve game; that season, it began at 5 p.m. at home.'

''There are eight players who were nominated for the prestigious Adirondack Hockey Hall of Fame although only four made it in for 2020. They are Frank Littlejohn, Sylvain Cloutier, former team players. And the two other inductees, H. Douglas Doug Burch and Dan Miner are builders, meaning these men have impacted the growth and strength of hockey within the region. The AHHOF as well as a fan vote determines the winners.'
'The winning streak was ended when the Maine Mariners shut out the Thunder at the Cool Insuring Arena. With a scoreless second period for the Adirondack Thunder, the Mariners eventually ended the game with a score of 3 to 0. Sean Day, of the Mariners, made his third goal of the season with an effective wrist shot. All 30 of the shots initiated by the Thunder were turned away by Mariner Connor LaCouvee, to record his third shutout of the season.'
