The original band, ABBA, which is an acronym of the members' initials, was formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972, by members Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Faltskog and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Andersson and Lyngstad were a married couple as were Faltskog and Ulvaeus.
