'Soldier Field, located on the Near South Side of Chicago, has been hosting world class sporting events since 1924. Epic Army-Navy clashes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish games and Chicago Bears games have been a staple of the iconic venue, but many more exciting events have taken place at Soldier Field throughout its 90 year history. The stadium has hosted hundreds of exciting soccer matches, including five FIFA World Cup matches in 1994, four FIFA Women's World Cup matches in 1999, and many CONCACAF matches in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Soldier Field has also hosted rugby and hockey, including the Chicago Blackhawks versus the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2014 installment of the NHL Stadium Series. The stadium has even hosted concerts by stars like Jay Z, U2 and The Rolling Stones, showing that this is a stadium that knows how to put on a big show for the city in a variety of different ways.'
'Every NFL season Soldier Field really comes to life as Chicago Bears fans, who are some of the most passionate in the league, fill the stadium looking to help cheer the home team on to another big victory that will take them one step closer to a return to the postseason. The Bears are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL and have a tradition of excellence that looks to continue this season. Every year the Bears have home games against several of the top teams in the league including their NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Detroit Lions. Every game at Soldier Field is an experience you will never forget, especially when the Bears are right in the middle of a heated battle for a playoff spot.'
'Chicago is one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the United States and people in the Windy City never face a shortage of things to do. Sports fans can watch the Chicago Bulls of the NBA, the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL, the Chicago Bears of the NFL, or MLB's White Sox or Cubs. Additionally there are several local colleges who have top tier NCAA match ups throughout the year. Of course, Chicago is also known for its vibrant art scene whether it is plays and musicals at theaters like the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre or the burgeoning music scene that produces world class jazz, hip hop, and alternative rock. Each summer major rock festivals Lollapalooza and Pitchfork Music Festival are held in the Windy City, and there are plenty of museums and public works of art to enjoy including the Chicago Picasso. Shopping on State Street and the Magnificent Mile offers visitors the chance to buy upscale clothes and other items before heading home.'
'Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois is home to the Chicago Bears, and with its ability to hold over 61,000 rabid Bears fans, the environment on game day is nothing short of electric. The new season brings high expectations for the Bears with such a talented roster battle their way through the NFC North and tickets are already selling at a feverish pace.'
'The historic stadium opened in 1924 and is the oldest stadium in the NFL, having been home to the Chicago Bears since 1971. It is also the smallest stadium in the NFL, meaning fans get an intimate experience and there is not a bad seat in the house.'
