Since it opened its doors, the arena has been the home to the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets. At various times throughout the years, it has also housed the Columbus Landsharks, Columbus Destroyers and Ohio Junior Blue Jackets. Combat sports are always a popular draw at the Nationwide Arena. What is the Nationwide Arena's seating capacity?

When the Columbus Blue Jackets take to the ice at the arena, the seating capacity is 18,500. However, when concerts are held at the facility, Nationwide Arena seating can be increased to 20,000.

Is there parking at the Nationwide Arena?

There are more than 15,000 parking spaces within a short walking distance of the Nationwide Arena. The spaces are primarily contained within surface lots and multi-story parking garages. Visitors to the arena should be aware that all of these lots operate on a pre-pay basis when events are taking place.

Is the Nationwide Arena accessible by public transportation?

It is easy to get to the Nationwide Arena via public transportation. Depending on where in Columbus you are coming from, your best bet will likely be either the 2, 4, 8, 12 or 18 bus. These buses all stop within walking distance of the arena.
