The Machine Shop History

The building currently occupied by The Machine Shop has long been a rock music destination; at one time, it was known as the Razzmatazz, a local night club emphasizing the rock genre. Kevin Zink eventually took over in hopes of implementing his vision of a top rock venue located right in Flint, Michigan, as he wanted locals to be able to see national acts without having to drive to Detroit or even farther. Since opening The Machine Shop, he has attracted several renowned artists, all by promoting an authentic vibe and a supportive community.

The Machine Shop Events

The Machine Shop is, first and foremost, a concert venue. The rock lounge hosts a variety of bands, including both local and national acts. The Machine Shop Seating Layout

The Machine Shop is an intimate concert lounge that gives guests an up-close and personal experience with artists they'd normally only witness at stadium-based concerts or other large venues. The concert destination consists of an open space for standing right in front of the stage, plus several tables and seats where rock music fans can enjoy acts at their leisure. A merch table area is located behind this space; this is where guests can score clothing, posters and other items emblazoned with their favorite acts' logos. The venue has a full bar and a large parking area.
