Located on Princes Boulevard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre hosts musical concerts and performances. Originally opened in 1956, it was renovated in 2010. The theatre seats approximately 1,250 and is the site of stage events as well as concerts. It is situated at the site of the 1879 Canadian Exposition between BMO Field, a soccer venue, and the Press Building. Its setting on the Exposition grounds makes it close to both the water as well as the Toronto Event Centre. The theatre's high ceilings and great acoustics have welcomed such performers as
Adele
,
Nemr
,
Professor Brian Cox
,
Yann Tiersen
,
Petula Clark
, Brian Regan, Matt Corby, the Swansea School of Dance and others. Additional impressive performers include
Michael Blackson
, Gad Elmaleh, Tegan & Sara,

and

''Guests attending Queen Elizabeth Theatre events will find parking behind the theatre. The lot contains 8,000 parking spaces on-site.'
'Yes, both TTC street cars and GO Transit commuter trains stop adjacent to the venue. You can get to the venue from downtown and the suburbs and do not have to drive.'
'Due to the design and age of the theatre, the venue is not as wheelchair accessible as some would prefer. As far as finding wheelchair-accessible seating, however, contact the theatre for more information. The venue will try to ensure that patrons with disabilities are comfortable and have good views of the stage.'
'Maxx's Kitchen is to the southeast of the venue; it has outdoor dining and views of the lake and serves contemporary Canadian and American fare. Liberty Village is to the northwest, and you can dine at the School Restaurant, a cafe. The Brazen Head Irish Pub is another choice. Enjoy Italian dishes at Caffino or BBQ, fries, hamburgers and brews at Liberty Commons, which is also vegetarian friendly. The brunch at Liberty Commons has been well-praised. Enjoy chicken rolls and curried potatoes at Island Foods.'
'The Canadian National Exhibition is close by. At the end of the summer, it has rides, booths and more. Parades, music and dancing are part of the nearby Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival, which also takes place during the summer months. Soccer fans will appreciate being near the BMO stadium when visiting the theatre. For skyline views of Toronto, venture to Trillium Park on the lake. You can walk, jog or watch the sun rise and set here; you may also choose to picnic in this park.'
