Located across the Tampa Bay from each other, St. Petersburg and Tampa are two important fixtures of the cultural scene in western Florida. Not only is this a hotbed for baseball (many MLB teams come here for spring training each year), but it's also an intense center of arts and culture with an extremely hot nightlife scene.

Sports enthusiasts will have plenty of teams to cheer for in the Tampa Bay area. Head to Raymond James Stadium to root for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL, or support the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL at Amalie Arena. Amalie Arena is also an ideal place to catch your favorite musical sensations as they stop through on concert tours. Other favorite local music venues include The Ritz and the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater.

Baseball fans will be in heaven. Not only can they settle in to watch the Tampa Bay Rays hit the diamond at Tropicana Field, but the region is also an extremely popular one for MLB spring training. That means that, during the spring, you'll have the opportunity to see some of your favorite MLB teams at bat, including the New York Yankees, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
