College Football Playoff National Championship Tickets

About College Football Playoff National Championship

Since its inaugural 2014 season, the College Football Playoff has determined the national championship of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. At the end of the regular season, a selection committee composed of 13 highly regarded experts picks four teams to compete in the playoffs based on overall record, conference championships, strength of schedule, and head-to-head results, among other factors. These four teams then match up in semifinal contests, pitting the top seed against the fourth seed and the second against the third. The winners of these games then move on to compete in the ultimate contest for college football glory. Does your school have what it takes to compete in a playoff bowl game? College Football Playoff FAQs:

How Much Are College Football Playoff Tickets?

Ticket prices vary depending on the bowl game and the matchup, but typically, you can expect to find playoff tickets starting around $200.

When Are the Playoff Participants Chosen?

The four participating teams are selected by a thirteen-member committee following the end of the regular season and after the conference championship games.

How Are the Game Sites Determined?

All game locations are determined several years in advance. The two semifinals games rotate each year among the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and Peach Bowl. The National Championship is a separate game at a neutral location.

Child admissions policies may change based on the bowl game. Even if the stadium has a certain policy, the bowl event may have another. We recommend checking with the event organizers before purchasing a ticket for your child.

Do I Need a Parking Pass for the Playoff Games?

A parking pass isn’t required, but if you’re driving, it'll ensure you find a space close to the stadium. Since many of these venues are located in large cities, there are always plenty of nearby lots available on game day, but they may require you to walk some distance to reach the stadium.
