Zac Brown Band is a country band based in Atlanta. The band members first joined together in 2002. Since then, they've released six studio albums and two live albums. Their mainstream success is evident as they've received over 50 nominations and have played to sold-out crowds in various venues. Tours have included the Uncaged Tour, Jekyll + Hyde Tour, Welcome Home Tour and Down the Rabbit Hole Live.
Zac Brown is the lead singer and guitar player of the band. He was raised in Georgia as the 11th of 12 children. At an early age, he started to develop his musical skills and learned to love bluegrass music. He played numerous gigs in high school and college. After graduating, he starting touring full-time at different clubs and festivals. The band released early songs under Brown's own label, Home Grown. In 2008, they signed with Live Nation Artists Records, which was later acquired by Atlantic Records. Over the years, their group members and business dealings have changed, but they've still remained true to their original sound. Zac Brown has also remembered his origins. As a college student, he worked as a counselor at a few camps in Georgia; after he found wide-spread success, he founded Camp Southern Ground. By giving children the opportunity to have adventures in the woods with their friends, it teaches a diverse group of children how to be healthy and active.
