Township Auditorium
Built in 1930, Township Auditorium is a historic venue that has been attracting large name acts of all kinds to Columbia, South Carolina. It has 3,072 seats and during concerts the orchestra is transformed into a general admission standing section that brings the maximum capacity up to 3,383. There is no onsite parking available at Township Auditorium. Some local businesses allow parking in their lots and prices vary. Street parking is also available.
There are three bus stops within one block of Township Auditorium making it easily accessible by bus. Be sure to check the bus schedules beforehand to ensure you arrive on time to the event.
Township Auditorium is a very disability friendly venue. If you need a wheelchair ramp, there is one at the Henderson Street entrance. There is also wheelchair seating available in the orchestra and first balcony level that allows for one companion alongside the wheelchair. An elevator is available that can transfer you to all levels of the venue. Guide dogs and other service animals are also accepted. For hard of hearing and deaf patrons, assisted listening systems and interpreting services are both available at no extra charge. For interpreting services, please call the box office to inquire within three weeks of tickets going on sale.

All children two and older need a ticket for events. Children under two are free as long as they are sitting on the lap of a legal guardian. The policy can sometimes vary depending on the event. For further inquiries and details on specific events, please call the Township Auditorium box office.
Cameras, video recorders, laser pointers, and weapons are not permitted within Township Auditorium. You are also advised to refrain from smoking inside the venue for the safety of all patrons.
Tickets can be reserved to be picked up at will call on the day of the event for most events. They will be available for pick up at the box office. The box office is located in the front of the building and opens two hours before the showtime. Photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets are both required in order to pick up will call tickets. If there are any remaining tickets, they will also be for sale at the box office.
