The Scotiabank Saddledome anchors the downtown entertainment district of Calgary, Alberta. It is the official home of the
Calgary Flames of the NHL, the
Calgary Hitmen of the junior Western Hockey League and the
Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League. It has hosted the 1985 NHL All-Star Game, the 1988 Winter Olympics, three Stanley Cup Finals, the Calgary rodeo, the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships, the Canadian men's curling championship, UFC 149, professional wrestling and numerous concerts. Opened on October 15th, 1983, the stadium is directly owned by the city of Calgary and operated by the Saddledome Foundation and Calgary Sports Entertainment. It was originally known as the Olympic Saddledome and then changed its name to the Canadian Airlines Saddledome. Can I reach the Scotiabank Saddledome by public transportation?
The stadium is accessible through CTrain light rail at the Victoria Park/Stampede station. You can also take any number of bus routes to the stadium.
Does the Scotiabank Saddlecome have on-site parking?
There are several lots on the north side between 14th Avenue and 5th Street as well as additional parking in Stampede Park. Private parking lots are located throughout the rest of downtown Calgary.
How does the Scotiabank Saddledome accommodate disabled guests?
Accessible parking is located in the lots at the north side of the stadium. Tickets are only available on a first come, first served basis. In addition, convenient drop-off areas are located on the north and northwest sides of the stadium. Accessible seating is available all throughout the stadium except at the floor level. Companion seating, located directly behind the wheelchair seat, comes with every ticket. You should call ahead of time to make sure all of your needs are met. Wheelchairs are not provided by the stadium, so make sure to bring your own.
Does the Scotiabank Saddledome have premium seating?
The stadium has 72 executive suites located on the second level. With a capacity of between 16 and 26 people, these suites come with private restrooms, luxury accommodations, premium catering, three to six parking passes and in-suite services. They are also available for Hitmen games, Roughneck games and concerts.
