The venue serves as the home of the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings and has hosted the Commonwealth Games, the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, and Universiade. Each year Rexall Place is home to YC Alberta and the Canadian Finals Rodeo. Concerts are a big part of the schedule at Rexall Place and musical acts like Arcade Fire, Rod Stewart, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Katy Perry, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and more have all performed at the venue. Trivia

Rexall Place has been home to plenty of notable events during its 40 year history but perhaps none quite as exciting as when it hosted the 2007 Men's Curling Championship. Before it was known as Rexall Place the venue had several other names including Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton Coliseum, and Skyreach Centre.
