The Orpheum Theater in Phoenix, AZ is one of the oldest and most treasured theaters in the country. It was built in the early 1920s, and was the premiere location for vaudeville acts in Phoenix. It also acted as a movie house, screening the earliest forms of the film medium. Construction began on the historic theater in 1927. It was the project of builders J.E. Rickards and Harry Nace for the hefty price tag of $750,000. It was designed with in the Spanish medieval-style of architecture, marrying old-world with the newest form of entertainment. This venue now hosts a variety of different events throughout the year, and it continues to be a great place to go for live entertainment.

Orpheum Theatre Phoenix Seating Layout

The historic theater, which is a part of the Phoenix Convention Center family, has the capacity to entertain more than 1,300 guests at the same time. There are several seating options for those who come to watch a comedian, a live band, a symphony performance or a famous ballet, and every seat in the house is a good one. The theater has two levels: the main floor and the balcony level. The main floor seats more than 1,000 guests, and includes great sightlines and excellent acoustics.
