Lifehouse is a rock band that formed in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1996 and rose to prominence in 2001 with the release of Hanging By A Moment, which
Billboard
proclaimed the Hot 100 Single of the Year after it spent 20 weeks in the Top 10. The band has released seven studio albums to date, and
No Name Face
, the first album, remains its most popular. Lifehouse's singles have regularly been used in popular media, including TV shows and commercials.

The band formed in 1996 under the name Blyss, and it recorded its first demo in 1998. In 2000, the members changed the name to Lifehouse shortly before releasing its debut album,
No Name Face.
The band experienced quick success as the album rose to No. 1 on the
Billboard
200 chart and was certified double platinum. The popularity of the album is attributed to the breakthrough single, Hanging By A Moment. Singles Everything and You And Me were featured in Smallville.
Stanley Climbfall
came next in 2002 and featured the singles Spin and Take Me Away. In 2005, Lifehouse released its self-titled album, which saw success similar to that of its debut. You And Me was the lead single from the album, and it remained on the
Billboard
Hot 100 for longer than all but four other songs ever. It marked the band's second Top 10 album as well. 2007's
Who We Are
peaked at No. 14. This is the first time that all of the singles from a Lifehouse album experienced commercial success. Broken, Whatever It Takes and First Time all spent time on the
Billboard
Hot 100. Broken was featured on episodes of One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds. 2010's
Smoke & Mirrors
contained the first collaboration on a Lifehouse album, a duet with Chris Daughtry of
Daughtry.
The lead single, Halfway Gone, had the most commercial success, peaking at No. 50 on the
Billboard
Hot 100. 2012's
Almeria
featured more collaborations. Most notable is a duet with
Natasha Bedingfield
on the album's sole single, Between The Raindrops. Lifehouse went on hiatus and changed its lineup before releasing 2015's
Out Of The Wasteland.
This was the band's first independent album, containing the singles Flight and Hurricane, and it peaked at No. 26. Lifehouse has toured a least once a year since this release.

'There's no large-scale tour planned for 2019, but Lifehouse will play a few sporadic shows throughout the summer.'
'For recordings, Lifehouse is a trio, but the band adds a member for touring purposes. Jason Wade is the singer and guitarist as well as the main songwriter for the band. Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. has been the drummer and percussionist since 2000. The most recent lineup change was in 2004 when Bryce Soderberg became the band's bassist. For tours, Lifehouse brings in a lead guitarist. Since 2014, this has been Steve Stout.'
'Since Lifehouse hasn't released new music recently, the setlist is more crowd-pleasing than pushing new music. You and Me and Hanging By A Moment are both usually saved for the encore performance, so make sure you stay until the end of the show to hear these favorites. The setlist also usually includes Spin, Halfway Gone, First Time, Sick Cycle Carousel, Whatever It Takes and Broken.'
'
Lifehouse will be performing on the main stage on Sunday, Sept. 15, the final day of the
KAABOO Music Festival
in Del Mar, Calif.
''
Lifehouse has not announced the musicians it will tour with next. Bands it has toured with recently include
Collective Soul
and
Switchfoot.
