Located in Reno, Nevada on the campus of the University of Nevada Reno, the Lawlor Events Center is home to the Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team. Named for the legendary director of athletics Glenn Jake Lawlor, this venue was built in 1963 on North Virginia Street. Aside from Wolfpack basketball, the Center has hosted NBA exhibition games that have featured the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors and the Utah Jazz. Lawlor Events Center tickets have also included games by the Harlem Globetrotters. More than a sports venue, the Center has been host to concert performances by acclaimed names, such as Cher, Metallica and Fleetwood Mac. Does the Lawlor Events Center seating include accessible options?

Yes, the LEC offers wheelchair accessible seats. They ask that those in need of accessible Lawlor Events Center seating limit it to the person and three companions. There is adjacent LEC seating for additional family members and friends.

Where can I park for LEC events?

Fees and parking will depend on the event. Accessible parking is available during events in the first level of the West Stadium Parking Complex north of Lawlor. There is the Brian J. Whalen Parking Garage, four minutes from the center. The West Stadium Parking Garage on North Virginia Street is a 10-minute walk to the venue.

What is not allowed at Lawlor Events Center events?

Items that are not allowed include weapons--including pocket knives and mace, laser pointers--bottles and cans of any kind, and food. Most concert promoters will not allow video recorders or cameras.

Can I bring my young baby to the Lawlor Event Center?

Children under two are free but must sit on a family member's lap. If a seat is needed for your child, you will need to purchase one. Free admission is allowed for children under three at athletic events. If you're bringing a baby, there are diaper changing stations in both the men and women's restrooms.
