The Colorado Buffaloes first fielded a basketball team in 1901, back when they were simply known as the Silver and Gold. As a member of the Mountain States Athletic Conference, Colorado found early success on the basketball court. Led by All-American Robert Doll, Colorado made its first Final Four appearance in 1942 with a record of 16-2. After joining the Big 7 (now the Big 12), Colorado returned to the Final Four in 1955 and finished the season with a victory over

Iowa

in the third-place game. In 1962, Colorado finished No. 9 in the polls with a record of 19-7, the highest rank in school history. Sox Walseth, who was the coach at the time, holds the school records for victories with 260. Following a down period for the program, Colorado returned to the NCAA Tournament in 1997, led by state native Chauncey Billups. Colorado joined its current home, the Pac-12, in 2011 in the midst of conference realignment. The team made an immediate impression by winning the conference tournament in the first year. Since joining the Pac-12, Colorado has advanced to four NCAA Tournaments. If you want to attend a game, purchase Colorado Buffaloes' basketball tickets at StubHub.
