The Mountaineers call the
Kidd Brewer Stadium
home. Originally named Conrad Stadium, this venue opened in 1962. The stadium is surrounded by the beautiful High Country and is housed in an attractive and modern campus. The stadium can seat 30,000 and has undergone many renovations. One of the newest additions is a new video board that is 2,500 square feet with 13HD technology. It measures 50 feet in height and 90 feet in width for the scoreboard, and the LED display is more than 37 feet in height and 67 feet wide. The playing surface of FieldTurf's Revolution artificial grass was placed in 2011, becoming the first venue in the US to have it. Conrad Stadium was renamed Kidd Brewer Stadium in 1988 to honor Kidd Brewer, a successful head coach at Appalachian State from 1935-1938.
